It's an undeniably essential dialogue to which we may all contribute and add our own opposing views." -- Lisa Manfield, editor Jacqueline Borowick, originally from Val d'Or, Quebec, graduated from McMaster University as a mature student and was appointed Presiding Bilingual Justice of the Peace in Toronto where she served for 15 years. Now retired, she devotes her time to writing and the study of languages. Her work has appeared in four anthologies.. jill stephanie morgyn was born in Dallas, Texas, and lived in London, Ontario, and Layou, St. Vincent, before finding her way to the Prairies in 1993. She is happy to have been claimed by this landscape, while still harbouring a longing for the sea. Kari Strutt doesn't eat enough vegtables and watches too much late-night television. She prefers wind power over coal, and scrambled rather than poached. Her work has appeared in Grain, FreeFALL and on the CBC. She lives and works in Calgary, Alberta. Maggie Ziegler is a psychotherapist, educator and writer currently living on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia. Another section of her memoir about her mother won honourable mention and publication in Prairie Fire's creative non-fiction contest. |
